2 Wolfpack players earn hat tricks in win over Renegades

On Saturday, February 15th, the Laconia-Winnisquam Wolfpack played the Moultonborough-Inter-Lakes Renegades at the Laconia Ice Arena, looking to rebound from a loss to Belmont-Gilford on Wednesday. The Wolfpack began the game with an aggressive attack and put a number of shots on the Renegades' goal. The Wolfpack finally found the back of the net with Kolby Fournier (senior-Laconia) getting a great pass from Bryce Ricker (sophomore-Laconia) to score with 1:18 left in the first period. On the ensuing face off, the Wolfpack quickly got into the Renegades end and put another goal in :09 seconds later as Dylan Martel (senior-Laconia) broke in and fired a wrist shot into the net. With another burst of speed off the faceoff, Martel put his second goal in :20 seconds later to close the first period with the Wolfpack up 3-1. The Wolfpack increased the lead in the second period, with goals from DK Tyno (senior-Winnisquam), Ricker and Martel netting his third for the hat-trick. The third period saw the Wolfpack continue the scoring with Fournier getting a hat-trick notching two goals in the third. The Wolfpack closed the game with an 8-2 win over the Renegades. With the win, the Wolfpack improves to 5-8 on the season and currently sits in seventh place in NHIAA's Division III.
