3 Inter-Lakes swimmers qualify for State Championship

The Inter-Lakes High School swim team traveled to Lebanon, NH to compete in the team's final meet of the season.

A few of highlights of the night were Pauline Donaldson dropping 4.04 seconds from her 100 Freestyle for a new personal best time of 2:09.51. Swimming the 500 for the first time, Elisabeth Hutchins successfully finished in 8th place with a time of 8:06.99. Catherine Roberts achieved a new personal best time of 1:00.84 by dropping 1.83 seconds in her 50 Freesyle.

Sarah Sundius held strong to her times in both the 100 Freestyle, finishing in 2nd place, and the 100 Backstroke, placing 7th with a time of 1:10.51. The backstroke finish also qualifies Sundius in her 6th event for the State Championship meet.

On the boys' side, Matthew Sundius finished 3rd in the 100 Freestyle, shaving off a small amount for a new personal best time of 1:01.60. Sundius also grabbed 10th in the 50 Freestyle. Ben Jaques swam into a 5th place finish in the 100 Backstroke and a 6th place in the 50 Freestyle.

Inter-Lakes will have three swimmers attending the Division II State Championship meet on February 15th. Both Ben Jaques and Matthew Sundius will have the opportunity to swim in the 100 Backstroke. Sarah Sundius will also be attending and is faced with the challenge of selecting which two events she will compete in.
