LMS boys still perfect after 14

The Sachems started off their week with a road game at Kingswood. Kingswood's height had Coach Roy concerned, but center Logan Bell quickly put those concerns to rest. He was able to drop 17 points, grab 7 boards, and dish off a season high 5 assists. Forward Drew Muzzey chipped in 7 pts, as did small forward Riley Roy (a season high for him). Noah Cruz added 6 points and led the defensive charge with 5 steals. Bell, Ryan Paiva, and Christian Gaspa each had 3 steals to help keep the Kingswood team at bay. When the smoke cleared, Laconia had its 12th victory of the season, 60-37.

Laconia next played host to Winnisquam. Despite a sluggish start, the young Sachems were able to pound out a 44-17 victory. Muzzey spearheaded the offense with 8 points. The rest of the scoring was balanced as Roy, Paiva and Bell chipped in 7 apiece while Jack Maher added 6. Paiva and Bell had a big afternoon on the boards with 9 and 7 rebounds respectively. The defense was solid once again. Bell had 4 steals while Gaspa and shooting guard Parker Minor picked off 3 each from the Bear's offense.

The Sachems finished off the week playing host to Inter-Lakes. The big men took over in this one as Paiva led all scorers with 14 pts and 8 boards. Bell had 11 and 9, Muzzey 11 and 3, and Ryan McCrea had 12 and 4. The bigs even played a little defense as Muzzey and Bell had 3 steals each and McCrea and Noah Cruz had a pair of steals apiece. As the week ended, the Sachems found themselves on the good side of the 67-34 victory and a nice 14-0 record going into the final week of the season.
