The Laconia Middle School boys' A team had another busy week with 3 road games. On Tuesday the young Sachems traveled to Winnisquam and were able to easily dispatch their opponents. Back-up center Ryan Paiva had a career day with a double-double of 23 points and 14 rebounds. Jack Maher, getting his first start of the season came up big as did point guard Christian Platon. The trio led their team to a 50-12 victory. Wednesday saw the boys traveling to arch-rival Gilford. Despite a lackluster defensive performance, the young Sachems pulled out a 44-25 win. The week closed out in Merrimack Valley against the run and gun offense of M.V. The Laconia boys were up to the challenge and posted their most impressive win of the season, 73-37. Power forward Drew Muzzey led his team with 19 points and 7 boards. Centers Logan Bell, 14 points, 8 boards, and Ryan Paiva, 8 points 4 boards helped power the offense. Defensively the Sachems were swarming as Riley Roy led the way with 3 steals. Christian Platon, Parker Minor, Muzzey, and Jack Maher each had 2 steals to keep the M.V. squad on its heals. The victory improves the Sachem record to 10-0 on the regular season. The next team on the slate will be Bow at home on Wednesday evening at 5:15.
