Bulldogs come out firing against Renegades

LACONIA — Belmont-Gilford scored early and often to take down Moultonborough-Inter-Lakes 6-0 Saturday evening. The Bulldogs built a three goal lead before the Renegades recorded their first shot on goal. "This was a team win," coach Jay Londer said. "We came out and made Moultonborough-Inter-Lakes play at our pace and that was the plan."

The first goal came 1:33 into the first period, scored by Ethan Becker. Becker picked up the rebound from Powell Wilson's shot and buried the puck into the corner of the net. Just over a minute later B-G doubled the lead on a Jamie Gill tally. Daryll Cahill scored the third goal of the period.

B-G had 13 players record a point in the shutout. Caled Drouin scored the fourth and fifth goal. Sarah Lachapelle capped the scoring in the third period on the Bulldogs' only powerplay. Nate Bowler, Jason Taylor, Dylan Treamer, Will Mahoney, Kris Shepard, and Brogan Hurst (2) all had assists. Calvin Davis and Bailey Defosie combined for 17 saves.
