3 wins in 3 days for LMS girls

After three wins last week, Laconia Middle School girls' team improved its record to 8 - 3.

The Sachems faced Kingswood on January 7 and came away with a 36-13 win. Leading scorers: Bella Smith 10, Victoria Dean 8 (two 3 -pointers), Becca Howe and Amelia Clairmont 4 points.

Laconia's full court pressure proved to be too much for Kingswood. Emma Schumacher played a nice floor game for the Lady Sachems with 8 rebounds.

Laconia next faced Belmont on the following day and earned a 51-32 win. Leading scorers: Hannah Dow 11 , Bella Smith 8 , Skyler Tautkus 7, Delia Cormier, Becca Howe, Devon Mello, and Emma Schumacher each with 4 points.

Laconia had a fast start with a half time lead of 28 - 9 and never looked back.

On January 9, the third game in three days, Laconia took a 42-10 win over Inter-Lakes. Leading scorers: Hannah Dow 8 (3 pointer) , Delia Cormier 7, Skyler Tautkus, Bella Smith (3 pointer) , and Victoria Dean ( 3 pointer) each had 5 points.

Another fast first half start (22 - 1) propelled the Lady Sachems to the victory over a Lakes Region opponent. Team basketball was again evident as Laconia shared the ball equally.

Coach Tautkus and his team are looking forward to the week, as they prepare to play Gilford and a very good Merrimack Valley team.
