Carole M. Huysmans, 74

GILFORD — Carole Mae Huysmans, 74 of Gilford NH passed away on Saturday March 1, 2014.

Born on Oct 13, 1939 to Leonard and Frances Spaulding of Medford, MA. She was a graduate of Medford High School where she met her husband of 52 years, John G. Huysmans Jr.

In the early seventies, they built a home on Governors Island, where they raised their four children. Carole was an active member of the Gilford Woman's Club, serving as President in 1975.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who's family always came first. She loved to cook and always made everyone who visited feel like they were part of the family.

She is survived by her husband John G. Huysmans Jr. of Gilford, a daughter, Joël and her husband Lee Freeman of Woodstock, N.H., a son John G. Huysmans III and his companion Kerri Ebright of Gilford, N.H., a daughter Jill Huysmans and her fiancé Mark Labonte of Hill, N.H. and a son Leonard Huysmans of Gilford, N.H.
She also leaves behind three granddaughters, Alicia Huysmans of Gilford, N.H., Sarah Freeman of Woodstock, N.H., and Caroline Freeman of Woodstock, N.H. and countless other family friends who too thought of her as "Grandma". She also leaves behind her beloved Dachshund, Snicker Doodles.

There will be no calling hours. Services will be private.

Anthony S. Reed, 52

HOLDERNESS — Anthony Scott Reed, 52, of Lewis Piper Road, died March 1, 2014, at Catholic Medical Center, in Manchester.

Born in Plymouth, NH on February 22, 1962, Anthony was the son of Custer Leland Sr. and Shirley Caroline (Green) Reed.

Anthony grew up in Rumney and attended Rumney and Plymouth schools. He resided in Ashland and in Rumney for many years. He has been a resident of Holderness for the past several years.

Anthony worked at Freudenberg NOK and for Lucas Tree Service. He also worked as a grade laborer for the State of NH Department of Transportation for six years.

Anthony was a past member of the Ashland Fire Department and the Rumney Fire Department and also was a certified Emergency Medical Technician.

Anthony is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Sharon B. (Hawkins) Reed of Holderness, stepsons, Troy A. Eastman of Prattville, Ala., Randy S. Eastman of Holderness, four step grandchildren, brothers, Custer L. Reed Jr, of Rumney, Brian D. Reed of Laconia, many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held in the Mayhew Funeral Home, 12 Langdon St, Plymouth, on Thursday 6pm to 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Spring burial will be held in the Pleasant View Cemetery, Rumney.

Robert P. Laflamme, 74

LACONIA — Robert P. Laflamme, 74, of 945 Watson Road, died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, N. H. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014.
Mr. Laflamme was born August 27, 1939 in Laconia, N.H., the son of the late Omer O. and Flora M. (Levesque) Laflamme.
Mr. Laflamme graduated from Laconia High School in 1957 and from Keene State College in 1961. He received his Master's Degree from the Keene State College. He resided in East Swanzey, N.H. for a number of years while teaching industrial arts at Conant High School before moving back to Laconia.
Mr. Laflamme was Tool Design Engineer at Astro Div., N.H. Ball Bearings for 10 years, and then for Rival Precision. Subsequently, Mr. Laflamme started R & J Tool, a machine tool business, with his brother, James, and as an innovator in the Machine Tool Industry, devised a method of insert sharpening resulting in several patents.
Mr. Laflamme was a collector of World War II guns, was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed books.
Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Margaret (Nudd) Laflamme, of Laconia; two sons, David Laflamme and Paul Laflamme, both of Laconia; a granddaughter, Tracey Natoli; two brothers, Thomas Laflamme of Laconia and James Laflamme of the Philippines; a sister, Marguerite Nolan, of California and several nephews and nieces.
There will be no calling hours.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

Barbara Davidson, 76

NORTHFIELD — Mrs. Barbara Davidson, 76, of Northfield, died at Mtn. Ridge Healthcare Center in Franklin on March 2, 2014.
She was born in Laconia on Sept. 6, 1937 the daughter of Lawrence and Vitaline (Granger) Robinson. Barbara was raised in Laconia and was a graduate of Laconia High School.
Several years ago, she was employed at Woolworth's in Laconia. She was later employed at The Arthur S. Brown Co. in Tilton.
Barbara was active in the South Baptist Church in Laconia where she was a Sunday School teacher. She later was a parishioner of the Tilton-Northfield Congregational Church. Barbara was a great cook and also enjoyed canning.

Family members include her husband of 52 years, John W. Davidson of Northfield, three children: Robin A. King and husband Anthony , Judith D. Davidson, and Roger R. Davidson and wife Ami, all of Northfield, three grandchildren: Lincoln Xavier King, Elizabeth V. King, and Emma Marie Blanche Davidson, all of Northfield, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Robinson and a sister, Alice Duguay.

A graveside funeral service will be held in the spring in Park Cemetery.
