Marguerite M. Bullock, 91

NORTHFIELD — Marguerite M. Bullock (nee Hewett) age 91 of Northfield, NH died peacefully on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at St. Francis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Laconia, NH.

Born on July 25, 1923 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Roswall and Marguerite Hewett. She lived in Teaneck, Wyckoff and Hamburg, NJ before moving to New Hampshire in 2010.

Marguerite graduated from Seton Hill College in Greensburg, Pa., married Clark in June 1946 and they enjoyed 63 wonderful loving years together. She raised her children before retiring with her husband to Hamburg, NJ. She was an avid bridge player and loved to travel on cruises with Clark. Over the years her greatest pleasure was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss her very much. Margie has been called home to be reunited with her loving husband Clark for eternity.

She was a former parishioner of St. Jude the Apostle Church, Hamburg, NJ, Church of the Nativity, Midland Park, NJ, and St. Anastasia RC Church, Teaneck NJ.

Surviving are her children, Michael and his wife Joan Bullock of Flemington, NJ, Anne Taylor and her husband Gregg of Wayne, NJ, Rita Krupa and her husband Bill of Northfield, NH and James Bullock and his wife Elizabeth of Jacksonville, FL. Also surviving are her 8 grandchildren, Cory Lansdell (Shannon), Tracy Lansdell, Will Krupa (Ashley), John Krupa, Brian Taylor, Melissa Taylor, Victoria Bullock, Alexandra Bullock, 2 great grandchildren, Micaela and Madison, 3 nieces and several cousins. She was predeceased by her infant daughter Mary Louise in 1956, by her husband, Joseph Clark Bullock Jr. in 2010 and her sister in law Audrey Stanley in 2012.

Arthur A. Dean, 79

MEREDITH — Arthur Alwin Dean, 79, passed away at Golden View Health Care Center on Monday, August 25, 2014.

Art was born in Tilton, NH, on June 23, 1935 to Gladys (Merrill) and Charles Dean. He grew up in Tilton, graduating from Tilton-Northfield High School. Art attended Plymouth State Teachers College, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education and played basketball and baseball. He served in the Army Reserves, and later earned a Master's Degree in Physical Education from Boston University.

Art began raising his family with former wife Jeraldine P. Dean in 1958, settling in Laconia in 1966. During his 37-year teaching career, he taught physical education, driver's education and coached a number of boys' and girls' sports. Before coming to Laconia, he taught and coached in Lincoln, Bristol and Franklin, where he was Athletic Director. For many years, Art was a physical education teacher at the former Memorial Junior High School in Laconia. He served as varsity boy's basketball coach at Laconia High School from 1969 to 1975. After retiring from coaching, Art was an NHIAA-certified soccer official.

Art strongly believed in the value of education, and participation in athletics, in preparing young people for life. He established summer basketball leagues for different age groups in Laconia, organized the annual Lakes Region Basketball Clinic, and was also on the coaching staff of basketball camps run by former Boston Celtic players Larry Siegfried and Dave Cowens.

Art enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, exercising and attending his grandchildren's activities. He also loved watching ballgames on TV, and spending time with family and friends at his camp near Kearsarge Mountain in Andover.

Family members include: his son, Timothy S. Dean, and his wife Michelle, of Laconia; his daughter, Cheryl A. Angus, of Gilmanton; his son, James M. Dean, and Nancy DePasquale of Beverly, MA; his son, John K. Dean, and his wife, Karen, of Gilmanton, NH; grandchildren, Hayley Angus, of Campton, NH, Evan Dean and his adopted sister Saray Dean of Cape Cod, MA, Olivia, Aidan and Victoria Dean of Laconia, and Lauren and Caroline Dean of Gilmanton; great grandchildren Maxx and Juno Angus of Campton.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 5, from 4 to 6 PM at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH. , using the Carriage House entrance.

Burial will be at a later date in Franklin Cemetery, Franklin.

Suzanne L. Day, 50

LACONIA — Suzanne Little Day, 50, of Laconia died unexpectedly on July 9, 2014 following a brief illness.

Suzanne was born in Laconia , NH on March 21, 1964 to Joan Beach Little and Clayton Alton Little. Suzanne attended Inter-Lakes High School in Meredith. She grew up in Center Sandwich.

She was formerly employed by Hector's Restaurant in Laconia and by the former McKerley's Nursing Home in Laconia.

Suzanne was a spirited woman, kind hearted, helpful and loving to all who knew her. She passionately cared about animal welfare, horses, cats and all living creatures. She was fond of bright colors, hot air balloons, fireflies, the country, campfires and the ocean. She greatly enjoyed camping with her long time life partner, Jim, and loved exploring the outdoors and traveling back roads with him.

She will be deeply missed by those who loved her but her spirit and love will be with them forever.

She is survived by her mother, Joan Beach Little of Center Sandwich; her sweetheart, James E. Manning of Laconia; her sisters, Sally Ann Little Washington of Keene and Betsy Little Page of Laconia; her aunts, uncles and cousins; and her beloved cat Shadow. She was predeceased by her father, Clayton Alton Little, and her brother, Jay Alton Little.

Memorial services will be held on September 20, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Baptist Meetinghouse on Church Street, Center Sandwich, N.H.

Charlotte Duponte, 48

LACONIA — Charlotte Duponte, 48, of 106 Messer St, died Wednesday, August 27, 2014 in her home after a period of failing health.

Charlotte was born on November 5, 1965 in Malden, Mass., the daughter of Stephen and Donna (Wiggin) Grace and was a longtime resident of Laconia.

Charlotte was very giving and caring and she loved unconditionally. She loved motorcycle riding and her dog, Zoey.

In addition to her parents of Salem, Charlotte is survived by a son, John Spiegler of Laconia; a daughter, Heather Pomeranz, of Nashua; two grandchildren, Jenna and Jacob Spiegler, both of Meredith; a brother, Joel Grace, of Reno, Nevada; two sisters, Alyson Nummela of Uxbridge, Mass. and Sharon Adrien of Concord and her former husband, Stuart Spiegler, of Laconia.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Carriage House of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 1 p.m. also at the Funeral Home.
