Jason P. LaPlante, 55

FRANKLIN — Jason P. LaPlante, 55, a resident of Franklin for the past several years died at his home, Monday, June 16, 2014 following a period of failing health. Jason was born in Pensacola, Fla., January 13, 1959, son of Maurice and Pauline (Gignac) LaPlante. Jason graduated from Franklin High School, class of 1977. He later attended Laconia Technical School, studying electricity. He worked for many years as a master electrician in Las Vegas where he lived prior to moving back to Franklin. Jason was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local #915. He enjoyed spending time with family, his beloved dog Buster, and the relaxing moments of the outdoors. His free spirit will be missed by all who knew him.

Jason was predeceased by his father, Maurice LaPlante who died in 1975 and stepfather, Charles Colby in 2012.

Jason leaves his mother, Pauline (Gignac) LaPlante-Colby of Franklin; sister Melissa (LaPlante) Moroni of Denver Colo.; brothers Jonathan LaPlante of Apache Jct., Ariz and David LaPlante of Sparks, Nev.; stepdaughter and stepson, Alicia (Lucarelli) Hart and Logan Lucarelli and their mother Debra; nieces and nephews, Zach Moroni, Cade Jason and Angelina LaPlante.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 25, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road (584 West Main St.) in Tilton.

Services and burial will be private for his family.

Donations may be made in Jason's name to the American Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

Kerri A. Wright, 37

LACONIA – Kerri Ann Wright, 37 of 60 County Drive, formerly of Franklin and Tilton, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home, Laconia on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 following a period of failing health. Kerri was born in Claremont, NH on June 15, 1977, and was the daughter of Douglas and Sharon Shinners Wright of Belmont, N.H. She graduated from Franklin High School in 1996. Kerri leaves behind a son Samuel Wright of Belmont, a brother Scott Wright of Franklin, Uncle Win and Aunt Jane Wright of Fitzwilliam, two nieces Allisyn and Chelsea Wright of Franklin, and several cousins. Graveside services will be held at Mountain View Cemetery, Swanzey Center, N.H. on Friday June 27 at 10 a.m. Phaneuf Crematorium of Manchester is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Christella M. 'Stella' Evers, 92

LACONIA — Christella "Stella" Mercer Evers, 92, of 406 Court Street, died at Lakes Region General Hospital on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
Stella was born in Belfast, N. Ireland on January 4, 1922. She served in the RAF during WWII. She was predeceased by her spouse, Wendell Evers, in July, 1988.
Stella was helpful to her family and friends. She loved yard sales, traveling, walking, working with plants, animals and volunteer work. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Stella is survived by daughters, Eileen Lafond of Washington State, Margaret Finger of California, Patricia Roscoe and son-in-law, Tom, of Laconia, N.H; brother, George Mercer, and sister-in-law, Queenie Mercer, of Belfast, N. Ireland; sister, Daphne Gilmore, and brother-in-law, Walter Gilmore, of Bangor, N. Ireland; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours or funeral service.

Olive Hartford, 96

GILMANTON — Olive Y. Hartford died at the Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia on June 17, 2014. Olive was born April 16, 1918 in Nova Scotia. She was raised in Lexington, Mass. where she spent most of her young life. She married in 1938 to her husband Arlington of 62 years. They lived their lives between Belmont and Gilmanton. She was very active in Gilmanton town organizations and enjoyed her family, gardening, flea markets and lawn sales. She loved her animals, especially her dog "Bing".

She was predeceased by her sister Barbara Tint of Ill., her husband Arlington and her grandson T.A. Hartford.

Olive is survived by her son Anthony (Tony) Hartford of Gilmanton, two daughters, Denise Aldrich and husband Bob of Pennacook, Bonnie Whelan and husband John and grandson John IV of Gilmanton, grandsons Roger Aldrich and family of Boscawen, David Aldrich and family of Bethlehem, a granddaughter Hilary of North Carolina and great-granddaughter Jaxsyn Sky Hartford of Gilford.

There will be no calling hours and a private family service will be held at Smith Meeting House Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
