Thomas P. Billings, 30

MEREDITH — Thomas P. Billings died unexpectedly on July 19, 2014. He was 30, a young man who left us far too soon. A Meredith resident, Tom is survived by his loving parents, Mark and Martha Billings of Meredith, his brothers James L. of San Francisco and Mark, Jr. (Brew) of Meredith, maternal grandmother, aunts and uncles, cousins and his love, Erin. Born in Fullerton Calif., Tom grew up in Mill Valley Calif., where he was a graduate of Tamalpais High School. With effective early intervention treatment, Tom overcame Asperger's syndrome to lead a high-functioning life. He was passionate about animals, the outdoors and water activities, assisting in bridge building and trail work with the Meredith Conservation Commission. Tom was an avid musical theater goer. He was employed for 12 years at Parafunalia in Gilford, where he conducted paddle board workshops and programs, and also at Gunstock Mountain. The family will hold a celebration of Tom's life later in August. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, P.O. Box 572, Laconia, NH 03246 or donations to the Interlakes Summer Theatre at Interlakestheatre.com.
