DORCHESTER — On June 20, 2014, the Lord called an angel to be by his side. Ella May (Baker) Barrows was called home to be with the Lord. Ella passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side. She resided at 10 Towne House Rd., Dorchester N.H.
Ella was the daughter of Frederick Baker Sr an Dorothy (Hazelton) Baker, born June 22, 1951 in Danby Vt., where she lived her childhood years. Later she moved to N.H. where she met her husband Joseph D Barrows II. They married on July 2, 1971, and settled in Rumney, N.H.
Ella was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. She enjoyed the simple things in life. One of her greatest pleasures was being in the car with her husband going anywhere.
She leaves behind her husband Joseph of 43 years, and four children. Joseph D Barrows III, Christopher Barrows both of Dorchester, Tanya Barrows (Karl Sanborn) of Bristol, Lacy Barrows (Roger Bucker) of Bridgewater. Six grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel, Robert Sanborn, Mackenzie Gray, Dylan, Anthony Bucker. Two sisters Nancy Buffum of Vt., and Joanne Holub of Loudon N.H., brother Richard Baker of Enfield N.H. And many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, brothers Frederick Baker Jr, Gilbert baker. Two brother in-laws Carroll Buffum Vt., and James Holub N.H.
A memorial service will be held at Scottsville cemetery in Danby Vt. at a later date in August.
A celebration of life will be held on July 26, 2014 at the Dorchester N.H. town hall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. refreshments will be served please come and share some memories.
