BOSCAWEN — Miriam E. (Beattie) Downs, 87, died peacefully Nov. 25, 2017, at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen. She was born and raised in Woburn, Massachusetts, the youngest daughter of Harold V. and Esther (Pottle) Beattie. It was here that she met Clayton E.
