Gilford arrests up, one more officer needed

By MICHAEL KITCH, LACONIA DAILY SUN GILFORD — Citing steep increases in the number of arrests, the Police Department has requested to add a full-time officer to its ranks in the 2017 town budget. To The Daily Sun, I am as I have stated before, (I'm) not political. Passionate about my beliefs/views, as many (others are). I cannot believe every morning I get up to this papers letter section. Over the past few months it has been filled with such negative, spiteful, cruel, arrogant, and mocking letters. It is enough to make you want to weep. Some days it is getting harder to ignore. Coed Adult Volleyball Continues on Tuesday evenings.

  Gilford – The Gilford Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring a pick-up co-ed volleyball program for adults ages 18 and up, to be held every Tuesday evening from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Gilford Middle School Gymnasium. This program runs each Tuesday through the spring. There is a $2.00 fee per participant, per evening. No pre registration is required. Stephen P. Kenerson, 63 ALTON — Stephen Paul Kenerson, age 63, a longtime resident of Alton, died Sept. 24, 2016, at Lakes Region Hospital in Laconia. Born March 11, 1953, in Weymouth, Massachusetts, a son of Norman Francis Kenerson and Marion Mae (Pratt) Kenerson, he resided in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, for years and moved to Alton in 1976.
