Kelly K. Finemore, 50

NORTHFIELD — Kelly Kathleen (Conlon) Finemore, 50, of Northfield, passed away on Wednesday, April 30 at Hospice House in Concord, following a courageous and graceful battle with breast cancer. Kelly was born in Framingham, Mass., June 7, 1963, daughter of Thomas J. and Elizabeth (Carey) Conlon. She attended schools in Nashua until her junior year when her family moved to Sanbornton, and graduated from Winnisquam Regional High School in 1981. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from New Hampshire Technical Institute in Concord in 1985 and worked as a Registered Nurse for the New Hampshire Veteran's Home, Lakes Region General Hospital, and Heritage Home Health. Her true calling, however, was realized in her second career as a beloved children's librarian serving the greater Tilton-Northfield community at Hall Memorial Library in Northfield. Affectionately known as "Miss Kelly", young readers were drawn to her loving and gentle manner, while parents were drawn to her ability to help choose appropriate and interesting books for their children and for the occasional tidbit on parenting and child care. She was a member of the St. Gabriel Catholic community in Tilton and Franklin, and celebrated many of her family's sacraments at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Tilton. She was a team mom for the Creative Steps School of Dance Competition Team and troop leader for the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains. She was an avid reader herself and was among the founders of the Sit and Knit group at Hall Memorial Library, and gifted in her ability to share her skills with knitting, baking, and other homemaking crafts. Family and friends often consulted her on medical issues, child care, and life's challenges because of her experience as a babysitter, nurse and mom, and because of the comfort they felt just being connected somehow to Kelly. She was predeceased by her father, Thomas J. Conlon. Kelly is survived by her husband of 29 years, Kent Finemore of Northfield, son Calvin and Christina Annicelli of Northfield, daughter Ghillian of Northfield, mother Elizabeth (Carey) Conlon of Laconia, sister Maureen DeRoy and husband Bill of Tilton, sister Sharon Spanos and husband Peter of Laconia, sister Anne Rees and husband Brian of Colorado Springs, Colo., brother Joseph Conlon and wife Heidi of North Sutton, sister Susie Conlon of Laconia, brother-in-law Scott Finemore and wife Karrie of Northfield, mother-in-law Winnie May Finemore of Northfield, 14 nieces and nephews, 10 aunts, three uncles, 44 first cousins, and hundreds of extended family members.
