Alberta M. 'Judy' Fortier, 90

LACONIA — Alberta "Judy" Mae Fortier, 90, of 30 County Drive and formerly of Meredith, died at the Belknap County Nursing Home on Monday, April 28, 2014.
Mrs. Fortier was born May 3, 1923 in Newport, N.H., the daughter of the late Christine Woodward and Clifford Bonner.
Mrs. Fortier was a longtime resident of the Lakes Region and was a member of the Meredith Center Free Will Baptist Church. She and her husband were the former caretakers of Oakland Cemetery. A stay-at-home mother, she raised all her children in their home in Meredith Center and was a wonderful, caring and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include a son, Robert F. Fortier, of Smyrna Mills, Maine; five daughters, Cheryl F. McGary of Houlton, Maine, Christine M. Fortier of Gilford, Noreen L. Ferland of Meredith, Susan M. Daley of Belmont and Flora E. Maheux of Laconia; twelve grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Robert Bonner, both of Meredith; a sister, Ruth Minor, of Tilton and many nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fortier was predeceased by her husband, Francis G. Fortier, and a daughter, Rosalie.
There will be no calling hours.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the family lot in Oakland Cemetery, Meredith Center, N.H.
