MOULTONBOROUGH — Daniel Bryant, 64, of Moultonborough, passed away at Lakes Region General Hospital on Saturday, April 5, 2014 after a brave battle with cancer.
Born on February 1, 1950, in Laconia, he was the son of Stewart and Helen (Nelson) Bryant. Dan was raised in Moultonborough attending local schools, graduating from the Kingwood Regional High School, Class of '68. He went on to attend the Culinary Institute of America, in Connecticut and finished his Associates degree in Culinary Science at the NH VOTECH, in Berlin.
Dan had a ten year career as a chef working for many restaurants and eateries throughout the country. He attended the Empire Beauty School and enjoyed a successful forty year long career as a hairstylist, spending close to thirty-five years at the Meadowbrook Salon, in Moultonborough, and for the last five years at the Hair Connection, also in Moultonborough.
He had a wonderful sense of humor, enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking and entertaining, and spending time with his family and friends. Dan will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he has touched throughout the years.
He is predeceased by his father, Stewart Bryant.
Dan is survived by his mother, Helen Bryant, of Moultonborough; sister, Rebecca Tilton and her husband Tom, of Moultonborough; niece, Stephanie Porusta and her husband Brian, of Moultonborough; nephew, Aaron Tilton and wife Meagan, of Moultonborough; one grand-niece and four grand-nephews, Emily, Max, Simon, Carter, and Ethan; and his partner, John Murphy, of Moultonborough.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Moultonborough United Methodist Church, Rte. 25, Moultonborough. Rev. Edward J. Charest, Pastor Emeritus, will officiate. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held at the Red Hill Cemetery, in Moultonborough at a later date and will be private.
