Harley demo rides move to the Weirs during Motorcycle Week

  By RICK GREEN, The Laconia Daily Sun   LACONIA — One of the biggest changes in this year's Laconia Motorcycle Week involves the staging area for people to take demonstration rides on Harley-Davidson motorcycles.     Mary A. Kapplain, 86 LACONIA — Mary Alice (Tefft) Kapplain, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2017, at the St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Laconia. Mary was born on Jan. 31, 1931, in Lakeport, the daughter of the late Harold and Callista (Oswell) Tefft. She attended Laconia schools and graduated from Laconia Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She met and married Edward William Kapplain in 1956, moved to Newtonville, Massachusetts, and started a family. After... Read more
