Worker hurt when machine rolls down hill

The driver of a small earth-moving skidder was injured Friday afternoon when the machine he was operating slid down an embankment on Route 3 across the highway from Northeast Tire in Belmont. The 70-year-old man from Gilford was taken by ambulance to Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia for a minor head injury, according to Belmont Police.
