Zac Brown concerts to keep Gilford PD busy

CALDWELL, LACONIA DAILY SUN GILFORD — A bustling Memorial Day weekend will be especially busy for the Gilford Police Department, with 25,000 to 30,000 people anticipated for the four Zac Brown concerts alone. Lt. Kris Kelley said there will be extra officers assigned to traffic duty, with as many as 8,000 people expected for each show. GILMANTON — Wilbur Lawrence Buchanan passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Friday, May 5, 2017, at the Lakes Region General Hospital in Laconia.He was born on March 18, 1926, in Boston, the son of the late William and Hilma (Nelson) Buchanan.Wilbur served as a first class signalman in the Navy during World War II.He worked for 30 years as a lieutenant firefighter for the City of Weymouth, Massachusetts.
