Credit downgrade hikes county’s borrowing costs By ROGER AMSDEN, LACONIA DAILY SUN LACONIA — Elected officials have been so reluctant to raise taxes that they’ve hurt Belknap County’s bond rating and potentially boosted the cost of borrowing money.
