New Hampton voters say 'no' only to vehicle for fire department

NEW HAMPTON — Voters here on Tuesday passed all of the warrant articles except one to purchase an emergency operations command vehicle for the fire department. They did agree to enter into a $350,000 lease-purchase agreement for a fire pumper/tanker, and agreed to purchase a thermal imaging camera and a defibrillator for the fire department. Also passed was a lease-purchase agreement for a $290,000 bucket loader and the purchase of a four-wheel-drive vehicle for the police department at a cost of $39,396, along with two in-car cameras for the police department which will be 50 percent grant-funded, leaving the town to pay $4,600.

There were no contested races.
