Probabtion officer finds gun in possesion of Gilford felon

GILFORD — A Cherry Valley Road man is being held on $10,000 cash-only bail after a gun was found in his possession following a routine probation check Thursday night.

Eric Reslow, 27, is alleged to have had a Lorcin L25 semi-automatic pistol in his possession. He was convicted of assault by a prisoner on November 12, 2009 in the Belknap County Superior Court.

He is being charged with one count of being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon.

Sgt. Chris Jacques said Gilford Police were called by Reslow's probation officer after he found the gun.

Jacques said they applied for a warrant and searched Reslow's home. He said additional charges are likely forthcoming.
