LACONIA — Covered Bridge Panoramas photographer John Anderson has been displaying his classic covered bridge art works in the LRCC Center for Arts and Technology academic building foyer area since November 10. Anderson brought his camera and lens as well as photos of each step of the covered bridge photographing process and explained how the final photos were created with those present at a recent Artist Reception.
Among those attending were George Dykstra, is a New Hampshire Automotive Education Foundation (NHAEF) Director and a retired LRCC General Motors Automotive Service Education Program Coordinator and his wife, Annamae Dykstra, a retired Registered Nurse having worked many years with New Hampshire's Veteran's Medical Center in Manchester.
The LRCC Covered Bridge Panoramas exhibit is open Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. The public is cordially invited.

GILMANTON — Starting on Wednesday, December 3 through the end of the month, the Gilmanton Thrift Shop will be holding a Christmas Stuff The Bag Sale.
Attendees can fill bags for $7. The Adopt-A-Child project also continues. Community members that would like to buy Christmas gifts for a child in need, are asked to contact Beth Lavin at 267-1934.
The Food Pantry continues to gratefully accept donations of non-perishable items and/or turkeys or hams for the Christmas food baskets, as the need to assist continues.

SANBORNTON — Michael J. Auger, 63, of Sanbornton, died at Lakes Region General Hospital on Nov. 27, 2014.
Mike was born in Laconia on May 30, 1951 the son of Jean and Evelyn (Corliss) Auger. He was a lifelong Sanbornton resident and graduated from Laconia High School.
Mike was a licensed electrician and was employed at Franklin Regional Hospital for several years as head of maintenance. One of his proudest accomplishments was working and co-owning Auger Site Works with his son.
Mike enjoyed being with his family. He also enjoyed his antique 1950 Chevrolet pick-up, his motorcycle, and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Mohawk Trail Riders.
Mike was a member of the NH Timber Owners Association.
Family members include his wife of 43 years, Jeanne (Morency) Auger of Sanbornton, two children: Scott M. Auger and his wife Kimberly of Sanbornton, his daughter, Sarah Sachetta and her husband John of Belmont, 5 grandchildren: Eveline, Beau, Prue, Reece, and Lulu, his parents, Jean and Evelyn Auger of Sanbornton, his sister: Carole Barbour of Sanbornton, 3 brothers: Paul Auger of Northfield, Gregg Auger and Chris Auger, both of Sanbornton, and nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin, N.H. A Mass celebrating Mike's life will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at St. Paul Church, School St., Franklin.
Donations in memory of Mike may be made to Central NH VNA and Hospice, 780 Main St., Laconia, NH 03246.
