Laconia Historical society and library cooperating on Genealogy Seminars

LACONIA — As part of the on-going Family Initiative Program which this past fall included classes pertaining to sharing family stores as well as the recent "Share Fare" where exhibitors shared family histories the Laconia Historical and Museum Society and Laconia Public Library will sponsor their second three part seminar series on family history and genealogy.

The series will provide the basics of how to go about starting a family research project ... forms to use and general record keeping guidelines, gathering information from public records and tips on using internet resources.

The series is to be led by Richard and Cindi Cote and Don and Nancy Stephenson, experienced genealogists and will begin on Monday, September 8, 10 am – 12 pm at the Laconia Public Library. Continuing sessions will occur on October 6 and November 3.

This series is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is preferred.
