SANBORNTON — UNH Cooperative Extension and KREBS Farm in Sanbornton will host a pickle-making workshop on Thursday, Aug. 14, from 6-8 p.m. at KREBS Farm at 315 Upper Bay Road. The program will be presented by Ann Hamilton, field specialist in food safety for UNH Cooperative Extension.
The program which will include a hands-on demonstration on making quick sweet pickles. The program will also include a lecture and discussion on the basic principles and typical steps in home boiling-water (water bath) canning using pickling as a base.
Preregistration is required by calling the Carroll County office of UNH Cooperative Extension at 447-3834 or 1-800-322-4166. Those interested in attending are asked to register by Monday, Aug. 11.
There is a $5 fee per person payable at the door.
