Steele Hill Resort supports Baptist church rebuilding project

SANBORNTON — With a $10,000 donation, Steele Hill has pledged supports to the Second Baptist Church Rebuilding Project. The project is designed to restore, expand and upgrade the existing church. The project is designed to restore, expand and upgrade the existing church building, a key component of the Church's long-range plan.

The main goal of the project is to provide a larger, more modern facility, while at the same time preserving the historic presence of the church, a Sanbornton Landmark dating back well over 200 years.

According to Bill Cutillo, President of Steele Hill Resorts, "We are fortunate to be able to help the church in this project. Many of our guests come here to enjoy the serenity and majesty of our picturesque surroundings. That's an integral part of the overall resort experience that we offer. Supporting a project such as this is important to us as stewards of our neighborhood."

Second Baptist Church Pastor Chris McMicken adds, "We have always enjoyed a certain strategic alliance with Steele Hill Resorts. Though we have raised a significant portion of the funds needed through our own congregation resources, more is needed to complete the project. This contribution will go a long way to help us achieve our ultimate goals. We are blesses to have this support from our neighbor, Steele Hill Resorts."
