PLYMOUTH — The Plymouth Area Democrats will hold an annual meeting on Wednesday, June 18 beginning with a potluck supper at 5:30 p.m. at the Plymouth Regional Senior Center on Depot Road. The meeting will feature special guest Will Hopkins who will discuss "Sequestration and the Slush Fund: the Myths and Realities of Pentagon Spending".
Will Hopkins grew up in Plymouth and is a graduate of Plymouth State University. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology and a Master's degree in business administration with a certificate of advanced graduate studies in strategic marketing management. He currently serves as the Director of NH Peace Action and is the state’s only paid peace activist. NH Peace Action is a non-profit organization whose members are dedicated to making a contribution to world peace, envisioning a world in which nuclear disarmament, mutual security, global understanding, international cooperation and respect for human rights create social, economic, and environmental benefits for all humanity.
The Plymouth Area Democrats welcome the public to attend their meetings, which begins with a potluck supper and social hour, followed by a brief business meeting and the featured event.
