LACONIA — Saturday, June 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Big Banana, 229 Messer Street, Laconia, D Acres will taste test its organic, homegrown teas. All are invited, handicapped accessible, off-street parking. DAcres stands for Development Aimed at Creating Rural Ecological Society.
For 17 years, D Acres has been an innovative agricultural and community project. D Acres of New Hampshire is a 501(c)3 non-profit, working organic farm and educational homestead/center where they research, apply, and teach skills for sustainable living and small-scale organic farming.
Located in Dorchester, D Acres is pursuing creative ways to stimulate on-farm economics, such as cottage craft work and making functional and beautiful objects from on-site renewable resources and recycled materials. In addition, they are always developing new ways to connect with other farmers and neighbors.
