MEREDITH — Inter-Lakes Class of 1964 will be the honored guests at the Annual Meredith/Inter-Lakes Alumni Association Brunch on Sunday, June 1. In addition to the brunch, the class has scheduled a series of festivities that will take place over the course of the weekend.
On Friday, May 30, the class will be holding a Meet and Greet at Harts Turkey Farm beginning at 6 p.m. An afternoon barbeque will commence on Saturday, May 31, at Carolyn Schoenbauer's house. The festivities will wrap up on Sunday, June 1, with a deluxe brunch buffet in the Winnipesuakee Ballroom at Church Landing. The social time will begin at 10 a.m. and the buffet will be served at 11:15 a.m.
In honor of this milestone year the Association has sent out a "90 for 90 Challenge" to local business owners to donate $90 to the Alumni Association. This donation will be used to continue the awarding of three $1,000 scholarships, maintaining and engraving the Alumni Loyalty Cup, and supporting the Annual Alumni Event open to all alumni. The following business owners have answered the 'Challenge' thus far. They include: J.W. Electric, Landscapes By Tom, Pacquette Signs, Grand View Home Inspection LLC, Hart's Turkey Farm Restaurant, Moulton's Farm, Cerutti Contracting LLC, R. Joseph Dever Services, Bryant Paving, American Pride Landscape, and Real Green Lawn Care.
Other guests at the annual brunch will be the three recipients of the Alumni Scholarships from the Class of 2014, and the recipient of the Alumni Loyalty Cup, also a member of the Class of 2014. The Loyalty Cup is the longest presented award that the school gives out each year, as it was started by the Alumni Association in 1929.
The special "90th Anniversary" cost for the buffet this year is $19.24 per person. Reservations and pre-payments are needed by Tuesday, May 20. Reservations are to include the class individuals attended school with, the name requested to be on ones tag, and the individuals maiden name: Meredith/I-L Alumni Assoc., PO Box 1076, Meredith, NH 03253. Specific seating requested should be included in the reservation ahead of time.
