SANBORNTON – Sant Bani School is pleased to invite the public to a classical music concert featuring Cavatina Duo at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 9.
The duo (Eugenia Moliner, flute, and Denis Azabagic, classical guitar) has captivated audiences with their electrifying performances in major venues across the US and abroad. This performance offers a unique opportunity to hear world-class musicians in the intimate setting of the Sant Bani School Studio Theater. Tickets are just $15 for adults, and students are admitted for free.
Composers from around the world have been inspired to write and arrange new works for the duo and they have recorded five CDs for Spanish and North American labels. Eugenia Moliner has been acclaimed as a "brilliant young musician" by the British Flute Society's Pan magazine. She has performed with the principal and co-principal musicians of the Chicago Symphony and Rotterdam Philharmonic orchestras, and has been featured on radio and television programs in Europe, Asia and the USA. Denis Azabagic has been described as a "virtuoso with flawless technique" by the Guitar Foundation of America's Soundboard magazine. He has appeared as soloist with orchestras such as the Chicago and Madrid Symphonies, among many others.
