GILFORD — The Pemigewasset Choral Society will close its 41st season with a series of three concerts beginning on Thursday, May 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gilford Community Church.
This performance will be followed with concerts on Friday, May 9, 7:30 p.m. in Franklin, at St Paul's Roman Catholic Church, and Sunday, May 11, at 3 p.m. at the Hanaway Theater in Silver Cultural Arts Center at Plymouth State University.
All concerts are open to the public with admission by donation in Gilford and Franklin. General admission at Plymouth State University is $10. Tickets are available in advance by calling 535-ARTS. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.
Under the direction of Leslie McDonnell and assistant director William Gunn, with pianist Catharine Dornin, our program, titled The Glory of Creation, includes music from the serious to the fun. "The Heavens are Telling" by Haydn, "For the Beauty of The Earth" by Rutter, "Torrents in Summer" by Elgar, "The Animals a-comin" by Bartholomew, and "A Red Red Rose" by Mulholland are some of the pieces which will be performed.
