Gunstock Historic Preservation Society Receives $1,000 donation

GILFORD — The Conniff Foundation recently made a $1,000 donation to the Gunstock Mountain Historic Preservation Society(GMHPS), to help with of the rebuilding of the 20 meter jump tower. The Preservation Society would like to thank the Conniff Foundation for its donation.

The GMHPS has been documenting the history of Gunstock and jumping in the Lakes Region. The current board is always looking for those that experienced the jumps at Gunstock as interested parties or involved members. Jumping returned to Gunstock over the past two seasons with a junior program, and they are now working on getting the 20 meter back up and running for the 2014/2015 season.

The Society meets the 2nd Thursday of the month at Gunstock. Members of the group can be visited most Mondays in the attic of the Base Lodge where the serious archival and history work is being done.
