Antiques appraisal event Saturday hosted by Laconia Historical & Museum Society

LACONIA —  Laconia Historical and Museum Society will host its quarterly Antiques Appraisal Day, Saturday, April 19, from 2-4 p.m. at the Laconia Antiques Center, 601 Main Street in Downtown Laconia.

Expert appraisers Doug McGowan, Linc Fournier and Greg Peverley will be available to offer their expertise and verbal estimations of value.

"This is always an exciting event ... you never know what interesting item will be presented for appraisal. Our talented group of appraisers are great at sharing information and history about the various items we see and folks like to stick around just for the history lessons.'' says LHMS Executive Director Brenda Kean.

Items presented can include stoneware, clocks, coins, toys, sliver, rugs, jewelry and general antiques.

Cost is $5 per appraisal, with all proceeds to benefit the Laconia Historical and Museum Society.

Tickets are sold at the door on a first come – first serve basis.
