Sex trafficking awareness training offered at Taylor Community on April 9

LACONIA — The Belknap County Family Violence Prevention Council, in fellowship with all its community partners, wants to alert residents of the Lakes Region that the month of April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) in the United States. The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.
By working together and pooling resources during the month of April, organizations can highlight sexual violence as a major public health, human rights and social justice issue and reinforce the need for prevention efforts.
On April 9 at 7 p.m. Real Life Giving is presenting "Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking Awareness Training" at 227 Ledge Drive in the Taylor Community, Laconia.
