GILFORD — The Belknap County Conservation District (BCCD) is taking orders for live, New Hampshire raised, disease free rainbow and brook trout for release into your farm or wildlife pond.
By ordering this spring your trout can adjust to your pond over the summer, and grow to become a tasty feast for you and your family. Trout can be purchased in one of two sizes, either 6-8 inch or 10-12 inch. It is best not to mix the size or variety because big fish prey upon smaller fish, and the varieties have different temperature tolerances. For more tips on stocking your pond and to obtain an order form please visit the BCCD website www.belknapccd.org or call 603-527-5880.
The order deadline is April 25 and customers can pick up their fish on May 4 in Meredith; larger fish will be delivered to your pond. This sale is a fundraising activity for BCCD.
