PLYMOUTH — Continuing its celebration of Arts in the Schools month, the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire offers a special opportunity for educators in the Plymouth area. On Tuesday, March 25, educators are invited to take part in a professional development workshop on the music and culture of the Inca people (of the Andes mountains) at Plymouth Elementary School.
Networking, refreshments, and discussion of cultural programs in schools will be offered from 3:30-4:30, with the workshop following from 4:30-6 p.m.
From March 24-28, the Arts Alliance presents Inkas Wasi, a group of South American musicians and dancers known for their high-energy concerts with traditional instruments and dance of the Incas. The group will present a series of school assemblies and workshops during the day in local communities, with evening events open to the public, including concerts in Intervale and Bethlehem, a workshop in Plymouth for educators, and a dance workshop appropriate for adults and for students 12 and up in Franconia.
