LACONIA — Due to increased interest in financial education, the Laconia Area Community Land Trust (LACLT) has added two Debt Triage classes in March, both sponsored by Franklin Savings Bank.
The first class takes place Thursday, March 27 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The second class takes place on Saturday, March 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. Both classes are free and take place in the Community Room at the Laconia Police Department on 126 Salem Street in Laconia. Light refreshments will be available..
Debt Triage classes cover budgeting, cutting waste, changing behaviors, prioritizing debt, repairing credit, improving and understanding credit reporting, and more. Designed for those on a tight budget, the class will also focus on financial preparation to achieve specific goals, such as reducing debt, reestablishing credit or preparing to own a home. All class participants are eligible for individual budget/credit counseling.
