‘Sweetheart’ campaign raises $18,000 for CareGivers

LACONIA — T-BONES Great American Eatery and Cactus Jack's Great West Grill supported The CareGivers Inc. for the 9th and final year of their Sweetheart of a Deal promotion. During the months of January and February the company raised $18,000 that was donated to The CareGivers Inc.

The fundraiser took place at all T-BONES and Cactus Jack's locations in Salem, Hudson, Derry, Bedford, Manchester, and Laconia. Any guest who donated $5 to The CareGivers Inc. at any location received $5 off a future visit.

The CareGivers Inc. is an all-volunteer organization that helps the frail, elderly and disabled to maintain their independence and dignity. They provide transportation, meals, companionship and more. All services are provided free of charge with the help of volunteers and donations. The CareGivers Inc. has been serving our local community since 1984.

The funds raised over the last nine years have helped to create and fund The CareGivers Caring Cupboard program. Caring Cupboard is a volunteer driven, personalized mobile food pantry program that provides and delivers free groceries to eligible elderly to ensure they receive the nutritional foods they need.

"We are so proud of the impact we have been able to make on The CareGivers and are beyond grateful for the generous support of our guests in making the last nine years a tremendous success for The CareGivers" said Tom Boucher, owner and CEO of Great NH Restaurants. "We look forward the upcoming years and collaborating with The CareGivers in new ways".
