Retired Teachers will hear food writer Barbara Lauterbach

CENTER HARBOR — The Lakes Region Retired Educators' Association's Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18, at The Mug by the Bay Restaurant on Route 25 in Center Harbor. It is right below the Yikes Craft Store and the parking is limited. Those who are able should park across the street in the E.M. Heath's lot. Check in will start at 10:30 a.m. followed by the business meeting at 11 a.m. Luncheon will be in conjunction with the speaker who is Barbara Lauterbach. She will be doing the history of food in NH. She will present some information and then we will have food samples of that time in history. She will speak again and we will be served some more food. There will be three servings with intermittent presentations. The cost will be $15.

Barbara Lauterbach is a graduate of Smith College. She studied in France and lived in Europe for six years. She has written four cookbooks and is a regular contributor to Cooking Light, Yankee Magazine, and the Boston Globe Food section. She is a certified Culinary Professional and teaches at the King Arthur Baking Education Center in Vermont.
