Tuftonboro Candidates Night Next Tuesday

TUFTONBORO — The Tuftonboro Association has scheduled its annual Candidates Night for next Tuesday, February 25 at 7 p.m. at the Tuftonboro Central School, with a snow date of Wednesday, February 26.

This event is an opportunity for candidates in contested races to introduce themselves, discuss their platforms and answer questions from the audience. This year, Tuftonboro has two contested races: Bob McWhirter and incumbent Carolyn Sundquist are candidates for the seat on the Board of Selectmen; and incumbent Jim Bean and John Lapolla for Road Agent.

The evening will also include a presentation on the proposed new library building by the Library Board of Trustees and a discussion of the Governor Wentworth Regional School District budget by board member Jack Widmer.

The Tuftonboro Association is a volunteer, non-profit, non-political community organization focused on improving communications and quality of life for town residents and those who visit our community.
