MEREDITH — The Inter-Lakes White math team placed first in its meet on February 12 with a total of 144 points. Placing second was Belmont with 136 points and Tilton School was third with 99 points. This was the final meet of the regular season. The state meet is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18 at Plymouth State University.
Finnian O’ Connell was the top scorer with 16 out of 18 points. Hayley Roth, Dan Thomas, Isabel Cunningham and Liam Donohoe, each scored 14 points. Sarah Sundius and Matt Schneberger scored 12 points. Johnny Cox, Jonah Steiss, and Ben Jaques rounded out the White team score with 10 points each.
The Blue team, with only 5 members, placed seventh out of eight schools. The Blue team was led by Josh Simpson with 10 out of 18 points. Cam Daly earned 8 points and Maitland Merrill, a newcomer to the team, received 6 points. The remaining Blue team points were earned by Ariana Lopez and Angelo Burgess with 4 and 2 points respectively.
Overall for the season, Inter-lakes White team finished first out of eight with a total of 656 points and Inter-Lakes Blue team finished in fifth place out of 8 small schools. Belmont was second with 603 points and Tilton School was third with 413 points.
