LACONIA — To celebrate the first year in the new center; the Huot Technical Center is to host the Lakes Region Chamber Business After Hours on Thursday, February 20, from 4-6 p.m.
This will be an engaging opportunity for area business professionals and Huot Alumni to connect and tour the various programs of the Huot Technical Center: Automotive; Biotechnology; Building Construction; Business Financial Management; Business Management, Business and Medical Office Technology; Culinary Arts; Careers in Education; Health Science; Law Enforcement; Manufacturing Engineering technology; Multi Media Communication; Pre-engineering and Resort and Recreation Management.
The night will give local businesses a chance to see where the Lakes Region's future workforce is being educated and prepared for the needs of the area.
The Huot Technical Center is a regional program for students of Belmont, Franklin, Gilford, Inter-Lakes, Laconia and Winnisquam Regional High Schools. Students are offered career and technical education programs, that enable them to gain a better insight into a variety of career choices. Students learn through varied and hands-on experiences, allowing them to develop career-minded skills in areas of interest.
Guests attending this event will enjoy a delicious variety of beverages and food prepared by Chef Jack Aldrich; Rhonda Fahrner and students enrolled in the Culinary Arts program. The evening will also feature classroom tours and several door prizes.
