Health policy expert to speak at Pemi-Baker GOP's annual dinner

PLYMOUTH — Dr. Betsy McCaughey will speak on the Affordable Care Act at the Sixth Annual Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, sponsored by the Pemi-Baker Valley Republican Committee.

McCaughey (pronounced McCoy) wears many hats. She is a patient advocate, health policy expert, author, former Lt. Governor of New York, and regularly appears on Fox News and CNBC. She has a doctorate in Constitutional History. McCaughey is a nationally recognized expert on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2009 as amended in 2010, also known as the ACA and will bring her most recent book, Beating Obamacare:2014. Copies will be available for sale.

The event is scheduled for Saturday February 15, 2014 at the Woodstock Inn in North Woodstock. Social hour is from 5 to 6 p.m.; dinner starts at 6 p.m.. The charge is $45 per person in advance. A silent auction and a live auction will add to the festivities. Several candidates for office will be on hand and will be given an opportunity to say a few words. New potential activists and candidates are also welcome to this dinner to meet members of the local committee and other folks from the several area towns represented by the committee.
