CENTER HARBOR — Interlakes Community Caregivers, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has recently received funding from the Bald Peak Community Fund, a donor-advised fund of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation.
"We are very grateful for the generous grant award from the Bald Peak Community Fund which will be used to support transportation costs associated with our Volunteer Program," stated Ann Sprague, ICCI Executive Director. "The majority of services requested from our neighbors are for rides to medical appointments."
The Bald Peak Community Fund was founded in 2002 with the intent to give support to their neighbors and communities in need of essential services. Funds are raised from the members of the Bald Peak Colony Club and friends who value the rural environment of the Lakes Region, and who are pleased to lend support to the maintenance of that lifestyle.
Interlakes Community Caregivers is a 501(c)3 nonprofit volunteer organization that provides support services and community information to help neighbors in their daily lives. These free services include transportation to medical appointments, friendly visits, errands, respite care for primary caregivers, and light household chores. Services are provided to residents in need in the towns of Center Harbor, Meredith, Moultonborough and Sandwich. ICCI does not charge for services nor seeks reimbursement from any insurance company or state agency. Funding comes from grant awards such as this, donations and fundraising events.
