Children’s Dentistry of Lakes Region provides toothbrushes to children involved in Got Lunch! programs

GILFORD — In an effort to continue the mission of local Got Lunch! initiatives – providing healthy lunch options to children throughout the summer months – Children's Dentistry of the Lakes Region is proud to partner with several local GOT LUNCH! programs, supplying toothbrushes to each participating child. Children's Dentistry of the Lakes Region believes eating a variety of nutritious food, together with daily brushing, is a winning combination for overall physical and oral health!

Dr. Melissa Kennell, General Dentist and Dr. Matthew Smith, Pediatric were excited to partner and invite four Lakes Region GOT LUNCH! programs to their Gilford Pediatric Dental Office to express support of the GOT LUNCH! efforts. In presenting over 1000 toothbrushes to Laconia, Gilford, Campton and Plymouth GOT LUNCH!, Dr. Kennell stated, "We recognize that access to dental care in the Lakes Region is available, however, Dr. Smith and I strongly believe that educating the importance of oral hygiene and its impact on general healthcare is something that should be ongoing." Partnering with a program like GOT LUNCH! allows for just that, a direct avenue for a friendly reminder to brush and floss.
