LACONIA — Again this year the AARP Tax-Aide program, which provides Free Tax assistance in preparing and electronically filing federal income tax returns, will be offered at the Laconia Senior Center at 17 Church Street.
While the program gives special attention to all those 60 years of age and up, taxpayers with low and moderate income will also be accommodated by AARP personnel.
Assistance will be provided as follows: Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., (February 5 through February 26) and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (February 6 through (April 10)
The service will be offered on an appointment basis. Call the Laconia Senior Center at 524-7689 to make an appointment.
Taxpayers are asked to bring the following: photo ID, copy of last year's income tax return, W-2 forms, any 1099 forms, dependent care provider info, proof of itemizing deductions, and Social Security cards or documentation for yourself and all dependents.
