Gilford Methodist Bible Study group meets beginning Feb.4

GILFORD — The First United Methodist Church of Gilford will be offering a six-week course in this series, "What Is the Bible?". The course will begin on Tuesday, February 4 at 1 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. at 18 Wesley Way. The class will be led by the Rev. Thomas Getchell-Lacey, pastor of the church.

The Dickinson Series: "Exploring the Bible" is a small-group that helps participants explore some of the best-known Bible passages and to discover some of the many ways that they can be interpreted. The course explains how the Bible as we know it was put together, who decided what parts were in and what parts were out, and where to go with your questions about the wonderful, baffling, beautiful, unsettling book called the Bible.

For more information or to register call (603) 524-3289. The class can be taken either informally or to receive Continuing Education Units and/or eventual certification in biblical literacy. To find out more please visit www.massbible.org/dickinson-series-faq.
