Hospital Volunteers Needed for an Exciting New Program

LACONIA — LRGHealthcare has introduced the Hospital Sitter Volunteer program. The Hospital Sitter Program is about improving the care, health and wellbeing of patients. Hospital sitters will provide one-on-one companionship to patients. As a volunteer Hospital sitter people may read, talk, play games, or just provide companionship to a patient.

Hospital sitters will be a valuable resource to many families that are unable to take time off to be in the hospital with family members who are patients. Sitters will provide these families with peace of mind knowing that a caring person is with their sick loved one. Sitters will operate under the direct supervision of the patient's nurse.

LRGHealthcare volunteer services is searching for compassionate, caring, personable and reliable volunteers to become Hospital Sitters. Are you thinking of switching to a healthcare career?
