PLYMOUTH — The Enterprise Center at Plymouth will host a workshop about the open-source currency, Bitcoin, on Thursday, January 23, from 4:00-5:30 p.m. at One Bridge Street in Plymouth.
Plymouth State University's Associate Professor of Economics, L. Michael Couvillion will share his knowledge and usage of Bitcoin to educate small business owner about the currency, it's advantages and disadvantages, and potentials for use in their business.
Professor Couvillion will cover the history of Bitcoin, the nuts and bolts of how Bitcoin works, the usage of Bitcoin versus credit cards, and more.
L. Michael Couvillion joined the business faculty at PSU in 1980. He has been an active investor since his graduate school days. At PSU, he has taught investments at both the graduate and undergraduate level for many years. His current research interests are asset allocation modeling and alternative investment vehicles such as Bitcoin.
