LRCC Offers New Customer Service Workshop

LACONIA — Lakes Region Community College is offering a workshop for individuals who are seeking to improve their customer service skills or for businesses that want to improve their employee's customer service skills.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, February 19, from 8 a.m. to noon, and the cost is $80.

It will be conducted by Lori J. Mahar, MBA, of Center Barnstead, an educator and coach who is also Public Relations Chairperson for NHAVA (New Hampshire Association for Volunteer Administrators). Since 2000, Mahar has been recognized several times in New Hampshire's Business Review for her achievements as a proven leader in business and community development, leadership and training and also recognized as one of New Hampshire Magazine's Women of Achievement.

Prior to starting her career in education, Mahar spent 15 years in systems development, office management, computer training and as an MIS Specialist. Her educational background includes a Master's Degree in Business with a concentration in Human Services from Plymouth State University; degrees from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA; Bunker Hill Community College, Charlestown, MA; and North Shore Community College in Lynn, MA. Mahar is also holding a four-day "How to Get A Job!" workshop on Wednesdays January 15, January 22, January 29, and February 5,  from 10 a.m. to noon for a cost of only $30 for all four sessions.
